Astarion has been feeding from Halsin/Halsin's wildshapes for a bit now. The druid's blood is rich and full of magic, and drinking it leaves Astarion feeling healthier and more alive than he has in centuries. He's no longer freezing cold and numb- he's almost warm now, he can blush, he feels energetic and strong.

He's also gained weight. Not a lot, but he's noticably softer around the edges, a little more plump. For someone who's body (what he can see of it, at least) hasn't changed in 200 years, this is incredibly jarring.

For gameplay reasons, the tadpoles seem to revert the cast to level 1 characters at the start of the game and they lose advanced abilities they had in the past. They then build all these skills from scratch over the course of the game. Would love to see someone play with this as a degenerative condition:

- everyone assuming that their skill declines will continue due to the tadpoles(but it doesn't, same as in game), angst ensues
- played for real: they start out the game as essentially level 8 or so and then slowly lose skills over time, making subsequent adventures harder and harder
- maybe they continue to lose skills only if they use illithid powers/consume additional tadpoles?
- fear (or reality) that loss of magic/fighting skills is followed by loss of more basic functions like memory or speech or coordination
- anywhere in-between!

Just like her companions, Tav has a past, secrets and things she is running from.

In her case it's her abusive, manipulative (estranged) husband. Prior to the tadpoles, it took months of careful planning for her to escape and hide under an assumed new identity, not counting the years of courage it took to escape.

Since then she has met her companions, discovered a strength she never knew she possesed. She has found true friends in her companions, and has found love. True, actual love. She is determined to save Baldur's Gate, and get rid of the tadpole, but she is secrectly terrified. What if she looses her new world, friends and love when it's all over. Her companions already have plans for their lives after, do they have room for her?

Matters reach a head when they reach Baldur's Gate and run into Tav's abusive husband who has been searching for her. He is NOT happy she ran and determined to drag her back to him. All her hard-won confidence leaves her and she's terrified of what he'll do and desperate to avoid bloodshed. What he doesn't count on is Tav now having friends and a lover, who will all do anything to protect her.

Her lover can be Gale, Astarion or Halsin (or could be a poly).

Bonus:
I'd prefer a BG 3 male character for husband rather than an OMC. There are plenty of arseholes to choose from!

I have no idea what kinks/tags this would even properly fall under, but: Cazador transforming into a rat (since vampires aren't limited to just batform, apparently) and hiding inside Astarion's pussy for transport/covert reasons.

Ulder Ravengard wants what is best for his son and while he isn't the biggest fan if these people his son chose to adventure with, they make Wyll happy, and that's all that matters. The vampire spawn, though, Ulder does not like.

So he digs into Astarion. He finds out how Cazador turned him against his will, how Cazador used him to lure people to their deaths, how Cazador punished him if he refused and what made Ulder the most sick was how he found out Cazador would rape Astarion repeatedly. And Ulder is sick to know that this happened to the man for 200 years.

So Ulder pulls Wyll aside to discuss this as best he can. It doesn't go great at first but eventually they come to an agreement about where they stand with Astarion.
