Male Any/Astarion, cursed to see Cazador

Post Cazador’s death, spawn Astarion:

Astarion is cursed to see the person he loves the most as the person he hates the most.

Hence, Astarion being scared witless at the unexpected sight of Cazador who he’s definitely stabbed to death. Even though the voice also sounds exactly like Cazador, the words, the speech pattern and the body language are all so very [any male character].



I’m fine with whatever, these are just some thoughts:

* Established relationship or still dancing around their feelings?

* Astarion attacking immediately or freezing in panic?

* An Astarion who knows he’s been cursed? Or unaware Astarion who accuses Any that the disguise is not funny or who thinks he’s going crazy and keeps it to himself?

* Is the curse temporary, easy to remove or will they need to find a way to break it?

* Any keeping his distance or Any putting on silly clothes and doing embarrassing things Cazador would never have done so that Astarion can laugh about it?

* Smut or no smut?

Wyll/Astarion, Magistrate Astarion Attacked At His Office

AU where Wyll is the Duke of Ravengard and Astarion is a magistrate in Baldur's Gate. Wyll is walking down the hall to a meeting with a councilman in regards to some land matter when he gets jostled by someone running past him. He doesn't think anything of it, assuming the person was in a hurry to dispute a legal matter or turn some papers in on time

As he gets to the end of the hall, however, he hears a sudden shout, a struggle, and because Wyll is a good man he goes to investigate to find himself in one magistrate Astarion's office, pulling the man who bumped into him in the hall away/off of Astarion and calls for security

-the man didn't like the verdict Astarion had given in court but it was the best choice to make from what Wyll understands of the case

-Wyll stops by to check on Astarion which leads to Astarion's interns gossiping about their boss being courted by the Duke of Ravengard and teasing Astarion in front of Wyll because they think it's funny and cute how the high and mighty magistrate blushes around him

Disguised Orin Non-Con (rape by deception, victim blaming, potential incest)

Modern AU where Astarion is on a blind date with Cazador (why his coworker at the law firm thought they would hit it off was beyond Astarion) when one of the guys (Wyll, Gale, or Halsin) come to save him from this absolutely horrid first date

-it's very obvious to everyone else witnessing this date that Cazador makes Astarion SO GODDAMN UNCOMFORTABLE like it started out okay but got Worse™️ as the date went on

- the companions are getting lunch as a group and sitting at the next table over. The girls are commiserating because they've been on bad dates plenty (Shadowheart and Laezel are a couple while Karlach is content to be single) and having to point out everything to Gale, Wyll and Halsin that they see the little tells and what Cazador is doing to make his date with the white haired elf a Bad Time™️

let's combine that with flayer!Karlach and make it horny. in whatever context honestly! maybe they were dating, maybe they were friends with subliminal yearning who bonded over having bombs for hearts. maybe they just have stupid jock/nerd sexual tension that neither of them really knew what to do with. maybe they're involved and Gale has already reached for astral sex as a workaround for the engine (underused potential imo!) or maybe astral shenanigans all new to her.

Gen Gale or Gale/Tav, Hurt/Comfort Abuse Recovery

It would mean a lot to me to see a story where Gale starts out believing everything surrounding the orb and Mystra's treatment of him was his own fault and fair punishment. He's still terrified of being killed and then damned by his goddess, still struggles with the reality that Mystra wasn't capable of seeing or loving him as a person. Gale believes at first that the reason Mystra saw him as disposable is because as a person, with magic removed from the equation, he is disposable.

Whether it's Tav or building friendships with other companions, Gale has a hard time accepting that not only did Mystra treat him badly--but that other people do love him and would fight to the death to protect him. Even when it's inconvenient. Even when he isn't sure why they would.

His friends/lover can't give him a sense of personal worth, but they can give him room to build that in himself.

Would especially love to see Gale realize that he can even get into an argument or get angry with either Tav or a companion, and it doesn't mean they won't love him anymore or will want to get rid of him. Being allowed human fallibility, allowed to disagree, allowed to even be angry without it being framed as unforgivable or because he's defective is completely foreign.

He keeps expecting to be kicked out of the party if he can't offset the risk he poses. At some point it sinks in that that isn't going to happen, and it wouldn't happen even if all of his magic went away.

Astarion gets hit with a spell/triggers a curse/etc and temporarily loses his memory, forgetting all recent events. He doesn't recognize where he is or who the people around him are- all he knows is that he is far, far from home and surrounded by overly familiar, strong-looking strangers with weapons.

Bonus points

+Astarion decides the safest course of action is to play along with the intimidating strangers. As such, it takes days for anyone to realize what's happened.

+The party is genuinely unsettled by how meek Astarion is when he's afraid.

+Someone he usually casually bickers with, maybe Gale, tries to bring Astarion back to his usual self with some friendly bickering. It backfires.

+If Astarion has a LI, he assumes they're his new owner/captor/savior

Durge/Ascended Astarion - post-canon Durge makes excuses for not becoming a spawn

(Would love nonbinary durge, but anything works.) Durge has rejected Bhaal and that seems to have mostly worked (but has it REALLY?), and isn't eager to be under someone else's thrall so soon after literally dying for their freedom. However, they also don't want to break up with Astarion because they love him and also kind of rejected their dad so they wouldn't have to kill him :( So instead of rejecting his offer of immortality and breaking up with him, they are essentially just like "give me some time to mull it over first." It's been a number of months now and Astarion is getting extremely impatient, and doing everything he can to pressure his lover into accepting his "gift."

+ Durge is still kind of fucked up and violent as a person. You can do a LOT of murder and still technically be redeemed. Perhaps they've been hunting down the last lingering Bhaalists in the city to keep themselves occupied. Perhaps they're not sure what they're going to do once they run out of acceptable people to kill.
++ Astarion also isn't a completely different person after his ascension. He's just the absolute worst version of the person he always was. Still very in love with Durge, but with that ugly vampiric veneer of obsessiveness.
+++ A scene where Astarion plays dirty and is like "you're not going to force me to watch you die again, are you?" to try and get Durge to agree to become a spawn. Manipulative!
++++ Durge has kept in touch with their friends! Every time they get together their friends are like "uh, so are you SURE you don't want to leave Astarion because your whole thing seems a little fucked" and Durge is like "no, I'm handling it." They genuinely think they're handling it.

Ok, I would like to request a fic where due to some sort of artefact, or permenant wish spell or something, someone, maybe even Gale himself, says something to the effect of him ever having been under Mystras influence.

And poof, little Gale, possibly before he discovered his magic and came under Mystras influence as the goddess of magic. I’m assuming he developed it young, I’m almost imagining a sort of sorcery thing a very natural magic that was then channelled hard into wizardry (do not ask me why I think this)

Bonus if Astarian is affected by this thing as well maybe it was worded like “before they had influence over you/us” whatever. So he’s back as the elf he was before Cazzador made him a spawn.

Gale/Astarion, Map Out The Scars

Basically, Astarion exploring Gale's body and asking how he got each scar. Some can be funny (running face first into a countertop/Tara clawing him/setting himself on fire) or some can be a bit more angstier (Failed assassination attempt by a Cyric cultist/corporal punishment taken to far by a teacher/Orin scars)

Wyllstarion Meeting The Parents

Meeting your son's boyfriend is all well and good but how is Ulder supposed to explain that a vampire spawn who has suffered for centuries well beyond his own years much less Wyll's might not be the best fit for a spouse?

I saw someone mention the concept of Faerun Grindr so what if that + idea from EA that Astarion and Cazador knew each other before Astarion was made a spawn! How about:

+ Astarion had a daddy kink before he was turned, either just because, or for a specific reason like his own father was absent or distant - he’s into rich, strict older guys and he doesn’t particularly want to examine / unpack that or listen when his friends caution him about inviting over random strangers

+ Astarion generally being a pretty airhead and Cazador's into it and not sure why(I saw Ast. described as a ‘lonely, power and love-hungry brat’ and that’s perfect for this)

+ Cazador is on Faerun Grindr (however it works - magic is involved probably) because its an easy way to cruise for suitable prey without having to traipse around, and overconfident and horny young men are easily lured, and also the bonus of often being specifically invited go enter their house

+ at their first meeting cazador setting a ‘no kissing on the mouth’ rule so Astarion won’t notice/feel his fangs

+ maybe Cazador using a fake name as a cover then making astarion call him Master which astarion thinks is for kink

+ Cazador going into the situation with his mind on his dinner, but on meeting Astarion being intrigued by his flirty/silly/oblivious ways and deciding to take a test drive to see if he’s worth turning - but in a very ‘cat playing with its food’ way

+ Cazador being super into Astarion blushing easily, as if his blood is eager for him - doing things like smelling his neck and edging his hunger on it - and Astarion failing to notice and assuming Cazador really likes his cologne or something

+ Astarion being super into Cazador as soon as he meets him because he ‘ticks all the boxes’ - just failing perception check after perception check, writing off all the super ominous vampire traits/hints as just him being tall, dark, handsome and mysterious

+ Cazador taking Astarion out on ‘dates’ to assess his skills/if he has any, and shenanigans /flimsy excuses ensuing bc astarion is trying to pretend he has actual skills and cazador is trying to pretend he’s not a vampire

if astarion discovers cazador’s vampirism, either:
+ he’s scared and wants to break things off but he finds out at a time when he can’t escape - like they’re having a bath together or something
+ he’s low-key into it, like araj

(or he could just be oblivious right to the end, which adds to the betrayal and shock)

+ astarion being genuinely glad to see cazador when he finds astarion in the alley after being beaten, because he already knows and trusts him

(i have no idea how Faerun Grindr would work in practice btw so feel free to go wild with that ... maybe its something you'd go to sorcerous sundries for)
