When fem!Bard!Tav and Gale (or Astarion - equally happy with either...or both *G*) finally start sleeping together, Gale assumed Tav would be a bit of an exhibitionist. Tav is overly sweet, affectionate and is friends with everyone and their dog, but Tav turns out to be surprisingly prudish about sex and nudity (not the easiest thing to manage in a camp)

Tav doesn't like Gale seeing her naked outside of sex and even then it's pretty much lights out immediately. Tav is insistent on only certain positions - mainly missionary and little foreplay for herself, very limited touching too. It's odd. Gale has no qualms about being naked around Tav - he views it as natural with the woman he loves, and can't understand why it's an issue. Tav can't be insecure about her looks surely? Has she ever looked in a mirror? Gale just wants his lover to feel good, really take his time to explore and pleasure her, to relax and enjoy sex. Why is she so skittish?

Until one day, Gale accidentally walks in on Tav washing and freezes. Tav's back is a mass of deep scar tissue - and not just her back - her ass, thighs too - all badly scared. These aren't the scars a bard should have, hell no one should have these scars. Scars don't bother Gale, and as far as he's concerned they don't detract from Tav's beauty, inside or out. But what bothers Gale is the absolute terror then brokenness and finally shame on Tav's face when she realizes Gale has seen her scars. Tav should *never* look like that. After reassuring Tav he still loves Tav, he brings her to Halsin privately (and pos Shadowheart) to see if he can help with the scaring. Halsin is privately horrified and furious someone would hurt Tav.

One thing Gale knows for certain is those type of scars don't just happen. They aren't an accident, or from battles. It's abuse, plain and simple. Someone has intentionally hurt his Tav, repeatedly. Gale doesn't know who, when or why, but he *will* find out, he will track them down and he'll make what they did to Tav seem like child's play, and he'll bring his fellow companions along for the party - just for shits and giggles. No one hurts their Tav.

+ Regardless of if LI is Astarion or not, he talks about his own scaring to Tav. If LI is Gale, Astarion also talks to him about how scaring will affect her self-esteem and self-image etc
+ if Astarion is LI, they didn't have proper sex until later on and developed more of a bond
+ Tav and LI have sex after everything and LI focusing on making her feel good, beautiful and improving her body image inc lots of gentle foreplay leading up to relax her, massage, kissing scars etc.

+ LI does get to confront her past and get some closure

Durge manages to snap out of it before attacking Alfira, and the two go on to start a cautious romance.

Cause damn it, I really wish she was a romance option.

There's plenty of Wyllstarion fic where Astarion rips Wyll's dad a new one but who know who else needs to get to chew Ulder's head off? Karlach.

Gale leads a busy life. His research is just getting to the good part, his work at Black staff is taking up his time. He still loves his spouse, but he can't spend as much time as he wants with them. So he makes a Simulacrum to ensure that they always have him there to cook for them and assist them when they need it. But the simulacrum has all of his feelings for Tav, including his jealous streak. Simulacrum! Gale starts trying to replace him. Including in bed, which Gale was not intending. It has long meaningful conversations with Tav where Tav spills their deepest thoughts and feelings. It takes Tav on romantic dates. Tav admits their weirdest kinks to it.

Also the simulacrum is manipulating things to keep Gale away without Gale or Tav realising at first. It wants Tav to itself. It doesn't think Gale deserves Tav. It was created to make Tav happy. It can do that better than Gale ever could - or so it thinks.

Up to author whether Tav knows it's the simulacrum and thinks that everything that happens is part of Gale's plan or if the simulacrum pretends to be real Gale. Or a mix of the two. Don't want intentional infidelity though.

Happy ending though, where Gale and Tav deal with their problems and reassure each other of their love.

I want Gale to have ALL the daddy issues. I want his dad to have been a POS who abused him and his mum (maybe even sexually abused), got them into debt etc etc I just want Gale Whump about his dad. Pairing can be any as long as they comfort Gale about his trauma.

+ if you want to up the angst, Tav does conceive but struggles to stay pregnant and has several miscarriages
+ Gale is there with her for every one of these and it's worse than anything else they've dealt with (pos Halsin/Shadowheart help if it's a health risk for Tav - and they know how private this needs to be)
+ Gale ends up really snapping at noisy friends, relatives etc about unsolicited baby questions/advice after Tav gets upset
+ After latest failure (either just not conceiving or miscarriage) Tav insists they need to break up - it's not fair on Gale if she can't have kids. Gale refuses to listen. They both say things that needed saying a long time ago
+ Happy ending - either bio kids, or they can adopt

The party destroys the Iron Throne and the Foundry, leaving Gortash very unhappy. In retaliation, he brands the party as terrorists/criminals/agents of the absolute. So when a certain wizard gets captured, Gortash makes sure this "criminal" is properly punished.

But to make it worse Tav is in a commited relationship (Gale, Astarion or Halsin) but the companion (Astarion, Gale or Halsin - whichever ISN'T her partner) is in love with Tav himself but has accepted Tav loves someone else.

Tav, her LI and the companion are left with the emotional fallout to deal with after and the knowledge nothing will ever be the same. Hopeful/happy(ish) & healing ending prefered.

Around the beginning of their travels, before they learn that Dammon can cool Karlach's engine, the party discovers that her tail is far enough from center-mass to be cool enough/safe to touch. Could be discovered through an accidental brush, testing a scientific theory, or the intrusive thoughts winning out, whatever works.

The sweet, if slightly drunk wizard made Waterdeep sound perfect and when she arrived through a series of miscommunication, assumptions and mistakes everyone thinks she's married to Gale...and she knows she shoudl tell the truth but his friends and family, everyone in Waterdeep is so kind and she hasn't had that in a long time. Then Gale turns up...

Gale is not happy that everyone thinks Tav is his 'wife' but before he can correct them they run into Mystra, who now Gale is 'married' is very interested in him again. So he and Tav agree to pretend to be married, Tav gets the house, and Gale will woo Mystra back they'll get 'divorced' and everyone's happy.

Over the next few months it seems perfect. Tav and Gale easily fall into their fake marriage and at times Tav seems to know and understand Gale better than even Mystra does, and Gale finds himself sometimes almost forgetting why he's in love with Mystra.

But plans never do run smooth...Gale's friends and family all love and adore Tav and can't stand Mystra - which Mystra is all too aware of. Worse, Tav finds herself falling in love with Gale. Gale's brother/cousin/friend (Astarion, Halsin or Rolan) falls for Tav and Tav's ex manages to track her down and Tav is slowly breaking down.

Will Gale finally realise and admit his love for Tav before it's too late?

+ Mystra realizes Gale loves Tav and wants her out the way by any means necessary
+ Tav's ex is Gortash or Lorroakan and a total asshole - but again is very possessive and wants Tav back
+ Tieflings are Gale's neighbors (esp Rolan)
+ If modern day all races and classes still exist
+ Rolan as Gale's grumpy neighbour or co-worker who hates everyone. Except Tav.
+ Tav hates that she's fallen in love with Gale and knows she can never compete with a goddess
+ Tav manages to get Gale a coveted promotion at work that he's been trying to get for five years by just talking to (and charming) Gale's boss aka the Devil
+ Tav's own family are invited for a wedding reception by Gale's family. It turns out to be a disaster and Gale learns some uncomfortable truths about how bad Tav's life was

The monster/monster hunter dynamic that comes with Wyllstarion is so good and I can never get enough, so:

Wyll and Astarion have stumbled their way into a sweet, gentle courtship. Wyll can't help but find some aspects of Astarion's vampirism alluring instead of horrifying. He fixates on Astarion's fangs when they kiss, likes to watch him feed, even finds himself endeared by the little inhuman hissing noises Astarion sometimes makes. And he spent a lot of time fantasizing about what having his blood drained would feel like. Wyll puts a great amount of effort into not being weird about these things, both because he's mortified and because he doesnt want Astarion to think he's being judged or fetishized.

Astarion, on the other hand, is hyper-aware that Wyll is a monster hunter. That his entire skill set revolves around catching things like Astarion and putting them down. Initially this is just another cause for fear, but once he begins to genuinely trust Wyll, it becomes arousing. Wyll could hurt him, but won't. Wyll knows Astarion's every weakness, every vulnerability, and instead of using them to hurt him, he uses them to take care of him.
