Wyll/Any or Gen, Omegaverse, Rut

I love heat fics- especially when characters deal with instinctual behavior like the urge to nest or bare their necks. I'd be really interested to see that in the opposite direction.

Wyll is an alpha, but he's never gone into rut while travelling with anyone, and it turns out that being surrounded by people his body reads as "pack" heightens everything.

He's suddenly restless, on the lookout for danger. He's also very preoccupied with the safety and comfort of other members of the group, especially any betas and omegas. Someone gets hurt during battle and he cannot stop fussing over them.

He has moments where he's uncharacteristically confrontational, especially towards other alphas, struggling to keep level-headed and focused. He tries to subtly scent-mark his allies with pats on the back and hugs, barely resisting the urge to rub himself over everyone.

Bonus Points
+Love the idea of alphas having a herding instinct. Just gotta herd the cute squishy members of the group somewhere safe.

+Wyll volunteers to hunt for dinner. Alternatively, Astarion is too tired to hunt after a long day and Wyll volunteers to feed him.

+Biting on the neck as a sign of dominance and protection

+If sfw, someone offers to "help" and is surprised when Wyll just wants to hold and nuzzle them

+If nsfw, even in rut Wyll is a romantic and attentive lover.

+He eats his partner out after knotting them
