Astarion and Halsin struggling through captivity together, post initial meeting but pre-relationship

Astarion and Halsin somehow find themselves in captivity once again, and Astarion is very surprised when Halsin successfully redirects their captor(s) attention when Astarion ends up inadvertently (or not!) antagonizing them. He might not even realize it at first, as his previous experience was highly competitive and he is not used to someone actually trying to shield him.

I'd rather not have them highly traumatized by the experience. I'm interested in their coping strategies, codependency and Astarion learning to play along with Halsin for mutual benefit.

+ Halsin as Astarion's primary feeding source
+ While Halsin is quite good at diffusing situations through his apparent complacency, he is not good at cajoling, which is Astarion's forte
+ Astarion finds the fact that Halsin chooses to behave like that irritating enough to be especially vicious towards their captor(s) on Halsin's behalf following their eventual successful breakout
+ While Halsin remains quite level-headed through the whole ordeal, he still has some pent-up anger he has to deal with. Does he intend to bury it? Well, Astarion is having none of that.
